The fourth Professional Enrichment Program of COPS was held on 21st February 2012 at Hotel Park Central, Kaloor, Kochi. Dr Vivek Narayanan, Faculty, Govt. Dental College, Kottayam was the speaker. He talked about “Aggressive Periodontitis”. The first issue of ‘BCOPS’ in 2012 was released during the same by the Charter President and Advisor of COPS Dr Raju Kurian Ninan

INSTALLATION 2010 – ‘11
The installation ceremony of
Dr Rajesh Vylopilli as the
sixth President of COPS and
his team of office bearers
for the year 2010 – ’11 was
held on Sunday, the 30th of
May, 2010 at Hotel Sealord,
Marine Drive, Kochi. Swami
Samarpananand Saraswati,
Head of Yoga Department,
Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham,
Coimbatore, was the guest of
honor. The program was
attended by around 50
members including life
members, associate members,
and their families.
RELEASE OF BCOPS
The first official bulletin
of Cochin Periodontists
Society, BCOPS, edited by Dr
Siby T. Chennankara, was
released during the fifth
AGM of COPS held at Hotel
Sealord, Marine Drive, Kochi
on 30th May 2010. The
bulletin contains details
regarding the inception,
activities, and various
events of COPS, and a very
informative article
regarding decision making
for extraction of teeth. The
bulletin shall be circulated
among COPS members as well
as members of IDA Kochi,
Malanadu, Nedumbassery, and
Kodungallor.
PROFESSIONAL ENRICHMENT
PROGRAM
The first PEP of COPS in
2010-’11 was conducted on
Sunday, the 30th of May,
2010, at Hotel Sealord,
Marine Drive, Kochi. Swami
Samarpananand Saraswati,
Head of Yoga Department,
Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham,
Coimbatore, was the keynote
speaker. He spoke about
“YOGA – the essential need
of today; the culture of
tomorrow”. About 50 members
attended the program

• Five executive meetings
were conducted this year to
discuss the activities of
COPS
• Six new members joined our
society including 5 life
members and one associate
member. The life members are

and Dr Anila. Dr Vinod
Mathew is the associate

• The membership fee was
increased to Rs.2000 from
this year onwards. The
yearly subscription charges
are also enhanced to Rs.200
from 2010
• The bulletin of the
society BCOPS edited by Dr
Siby T. Chennankara shall be
released during the fifth
AGM of COPS. The bulletin
shall be circulated among
COPS members as well as

2008 - 2009
The installation ceremony of
the New President, Dr Bijoy

on 27-05-2008 at hotel Sea
Lord. Dr Noorudeen installed
the new president. Dr Sankar
Vinod, Dr Alias Thomas and
Dr Jaibin Geroge felicitated
the gathering composed of
family members and invitees.

officially launched by
Dr.Jose Paul. The meeting
was followed by ganamela,
fellowship and dinner.

More than 80 delegates

programme. The lecture was
well appreciated by all who
attended.
A total of 6 executive
